The Berlin Olympics, 1936
At least I'm assuming that was what this famous painting by Richard Klein, depicting the proto-comic-book ideal of the Aryan "superman", was meant to commemorate.
Klein was actually a military artist by trade. (Basically he designed medals, and actually most of the German medals handed out during the War probably were by him.) But he also had the fortune (or misfortune) to be one of Hitler's favourites, and so today he is chiefly remembered for homoerotic stuff like this.
