London Boy

A spokesman [for Boy London] said: 'The brand is in no way connected to Nazism or the idea of anyone being discriminated against for their creed, colour or religious beliefs.'

He explained that the logo 'was inspired by the eagle of the Roman Empire as a sign of decadence and strength. Its aim is to empower people rather than oppress'.

So that's alright then?

Come on, mate! We all know what's going on here.

Back in the punk heydays of the 1970s it was still (just about!) OK to be a bit edgy in a vaguely sort of "rightwing" way. Now though, because our society has continued to move ever and inexorably leftwards, obviously it isn't.

And obviously the fact that Boy London is now a fussy, clean-cut, trendy, multinational, multiculural, bourgeois, middle-class, neo-leftist, corporate hipster sell-out chain, means that for them to have Nazi symbols on their clothes just seems even odder.

Trust me folks, this won't last much longer.
