The name of this picture is Ecce Homo. The artist, Valery Koroshilov, writes:The idea of this picture originates from my intention to pay a tribute to Andrea Mantegna, whose relatively small painting Ecce Homo, ca. 1500, now in Paris, made a great impression on me. Following Mantegna’s compositional structure, I nevertheless reduced the religious content to a mere symbolism, and focused instead on expressing the subtleties of the human emotion. My seven-year old son Philip acted as a model.
